Gbajabiamila says he has never betrayed Tinubu’s confidence

Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said he has never betrayed the confidence the President placed in him.

Gbajabiamila made the statement while speaking about his relationship with Tinubu and his role in the administration.

He said he had remained committed to the responsibilities assigned to him since his appointment as Chief of Staff.

“I have never betrayed the trust and confidence that Mr President has reposed in me,” Gbajabiamila said.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives said his political relationship with Tinubu dates back several years, adding that he had worked with the President through different stages of his political career.

Gbajabiamila said disagreements could arise in political relationships, but maintained that he had remained loyal to the President.

He also spoke about his continued role in the administration and his interactions with Tinubu on issues concerning governance and political developments.

Gbajabiamila has served as Chief of Staff to the President since June 2023, following his tenure as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023.

His comments come amid discussions about political alignments and developments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
