Some gunmen in the early hours of Thursday, attacked the Soka Ibadan residence of Yoruba Nation Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho.

Igboho’s spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, in a live feed said the house was attacked around 1am on Thursday. He also alleged some men adorning military uniforms carried out the attack.

“The situation is very active as more security operatives in about seven Nigerian Army patrol vans have arrived.” The Punch quotes him.

Koiki however said Sunday Igboho is currently safe.

This attack comes just hours to a planned rally for the secession of ‘Yoruba Nation’ in Lagos State.

The Nations reports that Igboho’s vehicles, including his G-wagon, Prado Jeep, some valuable properties including furniture, and windows were destroyed.

Bullet holes were found in cars parked in the premises while blood stains were seen at the premises.

It was also alleged that some persons in the house including a close ally of Igboho identified as ‘Lady K’, were whisked away.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Adewale Osifeso, when contacted, said he also heard about the invasion but he would find out to know what happened.
