 I’m not dead, Ejigbo LCDA chairman, Lagos denies death rumour
The executive chairman, Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Ejigbo Lagos, Hon. Monsuru Bello(Obe) has declared that he denied his death rumour, saying he was taken for the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government in Osun State, Hon. Gbenga Ayegbayo, who died on Saturday, 4th April, 2020 after a brief illness.
In a statement released on Wednesday by Head, Public Affairs Unit Ejigbo LCDA, Kunle Oladele, Bello said he has been receiving myriads of calls and messages from his people to confirm his death, said he is alive, assuring people of his good health and commitment to the government work.
The statement read: “The attention of the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Alh. Mosurudeen Oloyede Bello (Obe) has been drawn to the news report of the death of the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government in Osun State (Hon. Gbenga Ayegbayo) who died on Saturday 4th April, 2020 after a brief illness. May Almighty Allah grant him Aijannah Fridaus.
“While we appreciate the numerous calls and concern including the show of love by well-wishers, party leaders/faithfuls, friends, colleagues, top Government functionaries and Royal fathers, we would like to state categorically that the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Alh. Mosurudeen Oloyede Bello (Obe) is NOT DEAD. He is alive, hale and healthy.
“Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State is different from Ejigbo Local Government of the State of Osun.”
