 Insecurity Can Undermine Nigeria’s Economic Interests — IGP

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has said that the current insecurity challenges confronting Nigeria haa the potential of undermining the country’s economic interests and national security.

Adamu said this Thursday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the closing ceremony of ‘Exercise Haske Biyu’, a joint military and paramilitary training exercise organised by the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, Kaduna State.

The IGP, who was represented by the Kaduna State Police Commissioner, Umar Muri, said joint and multi-agency trainings were panacea to the internal security challenges.

In his closing remarks, AFCSC Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Ebenezer Alade, said the three weeks training had exposed the participants drawn from the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police, Immigration, Civil Defence, Customs, DSS, Road Safety Corps and others to the essence of timely information and intelligence sharing to ensure prompt reaction to crises situations.
