Jack Dorsey steps down as Twitter CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of microblogging platform Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has resigned.
Dorsey announced his resignation on Monday, after 16 years of co-founding the social media company.
“I resigned from Twitter,” he wrote and posted a screenshot of his resignation letter sent to Twitter.
Posting on the platform he said that it was “finally time for me to leave”, explaining in a statement from Twitter itself that it was “because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders.
He also announced Parag Agrawal, the former chief technology officer, as the new CEO and a member of the board with immediate effect.
