The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service rescued 210 people from various emergencies across the state between January and September 2026.
The agency also recorded 1,324 fire and other emergency incidents during the nine-month period.
The figures were disclosed by the Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, in a statement on Thursday.
According to her, the incidents included fire outbreaks, road crashes, building collapses and other emergencies requiring the intervention of the agency.
Adeseye said the service also recorded fatalities during some of the incidents, while several others were rescued and handed over to relevant authorities for further care.
She urged Lagos residents to remain safety-conscious and report emergencies promptly to enable firefighters and rescue personnel to respond quickly.
