Lagos govt demolish illegal structures along Makanjuola street in Iju-Ishaga
Operatives from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources have removed illegal structures along Makanjuola Street in Iju-Ishaga as part of intensified efforts to enforce environmental laws and protect public infrastructure.
The exercise, carried out by the ministry’s team targets unauthorised constructions that obstruct drainage systems and threaten environmental safety in the area.
Commissioner for the Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the operation on his X page, stating: “Operatives from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources @LasgMOE carried out the removal of illegal structures along Makanjuola Street, Iju-Ishaga, as part of the State Government’s ongoing efforts to enforce environmental regulations, safeguard public infrastructure, and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.”
