 Lagos-Ibadan Expressway auto accident, three dead

An accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has claimed the lives of three people on Friday.

The accident according to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), happened at Lotto, opposite NNPC Filling Station at about 8:45am.

The accident was reported to involve an Iveco truck with registration number AAB 458 ZY which lost control due to brake failure and crushed a Mazda bus marked XY 660 EKY.

The Mowe/Ibafo Area Commander of TRACE,Mr. Olusola Ojuoro, told NAN that corpses of the victims have been deposited at Idea Hospital Morgue in Ogun State.

One person who sustained injuries in the incident was also taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment.

The TRACE official commiserated with the affected families and urged truck drivers to carry out proper maintenance on their vehicles and avoid overloading.
