Landlord Shoots Tenant Over Rent

A landlord has been arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly shooting his tenant, Olaoluwa-Daniel Yaya, over outstanding rent.

Yaya who lives with his Landlord on Mosalasi Street, Alimosho Local Government Area of the state said, he had pleaded with his landlord to give him more time to make the payment.

According to him, after he left for work on Saturday, he received a call from his wife that, the Landlord simply identified as Mr. Afuye and his wife were making trouble with her.

he alleged that on his return home same day, he went to meet Afuye who suddenly brought out a gun and shot at him six times.

He added that his wife collapsed at the sound of the gunshot.
