 Male Teen Arrested Over Theft Of 14 Used Female Panties In Abeokuta

A teenage boy, identified as Adeniyi Muhammed, has been arrested by agents of the Ogun State Police for allegedly stealing 14 female panties.

Spokesman for the Ogun State Police, Ambimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest on Saturday.

Oyeyemi said police swooped in to arrest the suspect after one of the victims, Amudalat Opaleye, reported him at the Ayetoro Police Station.

The spokesman said Opaleye indicated that the suspect gained entry into her room and attempted to steal the panties but was apprehended while trying to leave her room.

Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the station had sent detectives to area where the suspect was arrested.

“A search warrant was executed in his dwelling house and another 14 used woman pants were recovered there,” the police spokesperson noted, adding, “the suspect has confessed to the commission of the crime but claimed that he was sent by somebody to get those pants for him. Effort is on top gear to get his so-called accomplice arrested.”

Oyeyemi added that the State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, had authorized the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
