Man crushed to death by container-carrying truck in Lagos

A yet-to-be-identified man was on Tuesday crushed to death by a container carrying truck at Ago Roundabout, Isolo area of Lagos State.
The unfortunate accident happened around 4:30 pm yesterday at the popular junction when the man, who was supposedly coming from Ago Palace Way, was knocked by the 40ft-container-carrying truck with registration number AGU 375 XA.
According to eyewitnesses, the man had successfully crossed the first lane to the road but got caught in the process of carefully crossing the second lane.
He was said to have moved some steps backward to avoid oncoming
vehicles but unfortunately his cloth hung to the truck which consequently knocked him down and crushed his head to death.
The situation was immediately contained by men of Isolo Police Division, Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) and Lagos State Traffic Management Team (LASTMA) who were controlling traffic and the corpse has since been evacuated to Isolo Police Station as well the container tolled for further investigation.
