Martins-Kuye, former Nigerian minister is dead

The former Minister of State for Finance and Minister of Commerce and Industry, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye, has reportedly died on Sunday at 80 years of age.

Martins-Kuye, native of Ago-Iwoye in Ijebu North Local Government Area, Ogun State, was born on August 16, 1943

He was a Senator in the third republic representing Ogun East Senatorial District comprising of nine Local Government Areas of Ijebu and Remo Divisions of Ogun State.

He was the minister of State Finance for the Federal Republic of Nigeria between June 1999 and June 2003 under President O1usegun Obasanjo.
