 Meet Barrister inspired Gospel singer, Bari Jesus

Late Fuji maestro, Sikiru Ololade Ayinde Balogun popularly known as Barister was a big influence in Nigerian Music industry.

He died over a decade ago. Yet, his legacy lives on. Many within the Fuji music circle have credited their success story to the inspirational mentorship of the late Oyo State born entertainner.

However, outside Fuji, Barister’s influence is still being felt. Some of Barrister’s Lyrics have been remix by one of his sons, BarryJay who is a Pop singer.

Again, Barrister’s influence is eating deep into gospel music.

A big fan of late Barrister, Samuel Temitayo Amubieya has taken the gospel music industry by storm. Good delivery of praise and worship songs in the typical barrister way is the latest innovation in the gospel music today.

The highly melodious track be described as a funky beat laced with traditional percussion.

It gives birth to a hybrid new sound, an irresistible Fuji tone with sonorous back ups.

Words alone cannot describe the ingenuity in the track but listening will do.

Samuel, a graduate of Biochemistry, from the University of Ilorin Has been a fan of late Barrister for over three decades.

Despite being a Project Management Professional with Over 15 Years of Diversified Business Experience in Building and Construction, Advertising, training and Consulting, Samuel has music in his blood.

Samuel who goes by the stage name, BARI JESUS has a new single currently rocking airwaves and titled, ‘OLOORE Mi’.

His stage name BARI JESUS is an acronym that means ‘Be Advanced and Responsible In Christ Jesus.

The Gospel singer runs a music ministration band under the umbrella of his Bari Jesus Praise Chambers.

He has previously released other hit singles and albums which includes: ‘Jesus Dimension’, ‘No shaking Nigeria’, ‘Jehovah Nissi’ and ‘Reality of Praise’.
