The National Youths Service Corps, NYSC is a Youth oriented scheme initiated in 1973 by the General Yakubu Gowon led Federal Goverment.

In its 47 years of preparing graduates of both Universities and Polytechnics, the scheme has witnessed young men and young women of different shapes and colours from all over the country even beyond as Graduates of foreign universities are also allowed to serve.

From intimidating heights of 6ft plus to plus sized and rare colours, Corp members come in different packages.

This year’s recently camped corp members have also in their midst a rare case of dwarf.

Right in the NYSC orientation camp in Kubwa Abuja, Abu is currently among the over 1000 corpers undergoing the compulsory 3weeks orientation .

Slightly above 3ft, Abu is a graduate of Library Information Technology From the Federal University Of Technology Minna.

Since he resumed at the camp, he has since become the cynosure of all eyes.

The NYSC does not discriminate against people of rare condition and also have special considerations for special people with physical challenges.

Unofficially, Abu may go into the history books as the shortest man ever to be mobilised for the scheme.
