Cheating: Bolt, Uber drivers identify Petrol stations to avoid in Lagos

By Dayo Badmus,

Some Bolt and Uber drivers have advised motorists to stop patronizing the NNPC filling station at Alfred Rewane road and Mobil filling station at Sandfill bus stop in Lekki, Lagos over cheating.

The drivers disclosed this via a Bolt/Uber Facebook page while sharing their experiences with major filling stations in the state.

Prince Adewale Gbolahan Adekunle in a post said: “Hello pilots.. please i want us to take note of Nnpc at Alfred rewane road.. it’s like they have joined the wicked filling stations o.. i bought 4k fuel not quite long. first,e no reach where i expect and it dries up fast.”

For Dan Abayomi Olu Akintayo, “It’s the worst filling station in Lagos. When they are selling, their pump will be snapping “kpa kpa” changing between selling air & jumping reading. Haven’t you noticed most of their attendants are elderly men? Next to them is Mobil @ Sandfill b/stop close to Lekki toll gate.

*Fuel scarcity can never take me into those two filling stations..Neva! ”

TB Tobi said: “I have also desisted from mobile at Sandfill I regret the last fuel bought there.”

“That Ikoyi NNPC station once scammed my wife. She paid for 5k fuel and they sold air to her just because she didn’t come down and look at the meter direct. If they’re selling for you, never you make the mistake of sitting in your car; always come down from your car and stand in front of the meter and watch from beginning to the end. Don’t let the attendants to distract you with idle talk. Face the meter direct and make sure the reading is accurate before you pay them, Ime Ebuh said.
