US House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has called for the removal of President Donald Trump through the 25th Amendment.

The Speaker who described Trump as a “dangerous man” said America “is in a very dangerous place as long as Donald Trump remains in office.”

She said if the 25th amendment, allowing for a cabinet majority to replace a president deemed unable to discharge his duties, is not invoked, Congress is prepared to move forward with impeachment.

“The President has committed an unspeakable assault on our nation and our people. I join the Senate Democrat leader and call on the Vice-President to remove this President by invoking the 25th Amendment. If the Vice-President and cabinet do not act, the Congress may be compelled to move forward with impeachment,” the speaker stated.

Trump’s supporter’s had on Wednesday breached security and invaded a joint session of Congress held to certify the electoral victory of Democrat Biden.

Four people have been reported dead while 68 persons connected to the riot have been arrested.

Senate Democratic Leader, Charles Schumer, earlier on Thursday had also called for the invocation of the 25th Amendment.  He said that if they failed to act, Congress should reconvene and impeach him.
