Chairman, National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Professor James Momoh, has commended the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company for using technology to spur change in the power delivery sector.
Momoh, who disclosed this when he visited the Ikeja DisCo’s head office in Lagos, said the company had shown willingness to mitigate issues affecting power delivery with technological solutions.
He added that Ikeja Electric also created innovative solutions to increase customer satisfaction and improve the overall experience.
“You have shown yourself to be a leader and good manager of the industry, making a most profound impact on both industry and customers alike. I have no doubt that Ikeja Electric is the DISCO the industry can depend on for inspiration and ideas to move the power sector forward,” he said.
Ikeja Electric Chairman, Kola Adesina, extended gratitude to the NERC boss for the visit, noting that it coincided with the seventh year anniversary of privatisation of electricity companies in Nigeria.
He also commended Momoh for his unwavering belief in Nigeria, saying that he has inspired positive changes in the system.
