APC Commotion: NWC rejects Buhari’s position, may boycott NEC meeting

By Adekunle Badmus

The Commotion in the rulling party, APC has continued as Narional Working Commotee rejects President Buhari’s position and threatening to boycott NEC meeting.

The drama characterizing the All Progressives Congress continues as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party rejects the endorsement of Chief Victor Giadom by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Acting National Chairman of the Party.

It would be recalled that the President through a statement by Garba Shehu, his Media Assistant on Wednesday backed the embattled Deputy National Secretary as the Acting National Chairman.

The President added he would attend the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting convened by Mr Giadom because

“the law is on the side of Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman.”

But the NWC after a meeting on Wednesday night released a statement that it will not be attending that NEC meeting.

The Committee stated Buhari may have been ill-advised or blackmailed into supporting Mr Giadom.

The statement was signed by Hilliard Eta and Waziri Bulama as acting National Chairman and Acting National secretary respectively.
