Lagos 2023: No decision yet; I’m still consulting, Musiliu Obanikoro says ahead of Lagos guber polls

Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro, has debunked media reports that he has declared his intention to run for the governorship seat of the state in 2023.
The former minister said this in a phone conversation on Monday, 3 January, 2022, according to him, he has not taken any decision on his governorship ambition.
“I told the reporter that I’ve not taken any decision on the matter. I told him I’m still consulting and discussing with stakeholders on the matter,” Senator Obanikoro said.
According to him, the governorship is not just what one can jump into. “It needs a lot of consultation and discussion with stakeholders. So, I’ve not taken any decision yet since I’m still consulting,”.
The pioneer Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs said he would make his decision public after concluding his consultation.
