Osun election: Davido tells Faleke ‘politics is not a career, get a job’
Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to comments by the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, following the outcome of the Osun State governorship election.
Davido took to social media to criticise Faleke over his remarks concerning the election and his support for the re-election of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
The singer told the lawmaker that politics should not be treated as a career and advised him to get a job.
Davido wrote, “Politics is not a career, get a job.”
The exchange comes after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Ademola Adeleke the winner of the Osun governorship election.
Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, secured 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 444,815 votes.
Davido has been an outspoken supporter of his uncle, celebrating his victory and defending him against critics following the election.
