 Owo Massacre: Church, govt hold Funeral Mass for 40 dead persons

The funeral mass for the late victims of the Owo church massacre has begun.

Recall that some yet-to-be-identified gunmen gruesomely murdered worshippers at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State on June 5, killing no fewer than 40 persons.

Thirteen days after the terror attack during the church service, the funeral mass began with the caskets bearing the bodies of the deceased being brought in.

The venue of the mass, Mydas Resort, Owo, was filled to capacity with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in attendance with other top personalities.

The mass took off following the procession into the hall by Catholic priests.
