Police arrests 12 suspects for murder of CSP Kazeem Abonde in Lagos

Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Panti, has arrested twelve suspects in connection with the murder of CSP Kazeem Abonde.
The operations officer was killed on September 23 when he led a raid on okada riders and criminal hideouts at Ajao Estate.
Ismaila Abdullahi Haruna, 23 years, and 11 other suspects were apprehended after a four-week investigation by crack detectives.
Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, in a statement on Tuesday, said they confessed to murder, conspiracy to murder and wilful damage.
They were picked up in Lagos and Nasarawa States from locations they had been hiding since the incident.
“The suspects gave a blow-by-blow account of how the brutal attack on the deceased police officer and injured officers was carried out”, the PRO noted.
All the suspects will be arraigned at the Yaba Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
