By Emmanuel Awosika

The Lagos State Police has launched a manhunt for one Adekunle Adeyemi, who allegedly stabbed his co-tenant, Stanley Dickinson, to death during a heated argument.

According to the police report on the case, Stanley Dickinson had accused Adekunle Adeyemi of having sexual relations with the wife of another co-tenant, identified as Chisom. Onuoha. This led to a confrontation between the two in the apartment.

The confrontation had turned violent with Adekunle stabbing his co-tenant with a knife in the left side of the chest. Sympathizers had rushed the bleeding man to the Ikorodu General Hospital, but he died soon after admission.

The police, in the report, said the compound had been deserted by the time detectives had arrived at the scene. It also said that the corpse, which had been returned home, was taken away for autopsy.

Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Bala Elkana, corroborated the incident.

“We have commenced investigation into the case. We have launched a manhunt for the suspect who fled the scene immediately after the incident,” he said.
