 Police exhume body of abducted woman in Delta

The Delta State Police Command have exhumed the body of a woman who was killed by her abductors and buried in a shallow grave in farmland near the Benin-Agbor-Onitsha expressway, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, Delta state.

The body of the 54-year-old woman, Mrs Philomina Ogadi, who hails from Otolokpo community in the Ika North East Local Government Area of the state was exhumed after four days of her burial by her kidnappers, who collected a ransom of N650,000 from her family.

Mrs Ogadi was abducted last week by a nine-man gang of Kidnappers including her neighbours.

While speaking with Journalists, the State Commissioner of Police Ari Mohammed Ali, said the woman was declared missing by her son.
According to him, the exhumed body was blindfolded and had gunshot wounds on its head.

He said after Killing the woman and burying, her kidnappers still called her children and collected a sum of N650,000 as ransom.

He said they made her children believe she was still alive by playing a recorded video of her.

The eldest son of the victim said one of the suspects live in the same compound with his mother before she was kidnapped and murdered.

One of the kidnappers led the State Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Faleye Olayele and other Police officers to the scene where the body of the victim was exhumed by officers of the State Police Command and taken to the mortuary.
