Popular Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha in police net for allegedly defiling minor

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James aka Baba Ijesha, for allegedly defiling a minor.
The 48 year old actor was arrested after a case of defilement was reported by one Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police Station on April 19, 2021.
The police said the case has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.
Based on preliminary findings, the police said the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was 7 year old.
“The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant,” the police said in a statement released by Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
Adejobi said the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter.
