School-bus driver rapes four-year-old pupil inside school bus
The Police in Ogun state have arrested a 36–year-old school-bus driver, Humble Michael, for defiling a four- year-old pupil of the school where he was employed.
Michael allegedly defiled the minor on the way home after he had dropped her colleagues off at their various homes.
The father of the victim discovered the sexual assault on his daughter while bathing her.
He found out blood was gushing out of her private part while bathing her and she disclosed the driver defiled her on January 21, 2021 on their way from school.
The little girl, it was learnt, also told her parents the driver parked somewhere to carry out the act after dropping off others.
The victim’s mother reported the incident at the Ogijo Divisional Police Headquarters where the Divisional Police Officer, Ogijo Division, Muhammed Baba, mobilised operatives and arrested the suspect.
The girl has been taken to the General Hospital for treatment with the Doctor’s report confirming she had been sexually abused.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed this in a statement on Friday, said the suspect had admitted committing the crime.
He said the suspect will be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for prosecution as directed by the Commissioner of police in the state, Edward Ajogun.
