 Mid Night Raid: Lagos Task Force raid shanties  in Ebute-Meta

Men of the Lagos state Police Task Force earlier this morning reportedly arrested over 150 occupiers of illegal shanties round Sawmill area of Ebute-Meta lagos.

According to information, the Police Task Force swooped on the shanty areas around Sawmill early this morning.

This medium learnt the officers came in as early as 1am into Ebute-Meta east and the operation lasted for over 3hours.

According to one of the victims, Kehinde Adeleke who is now detained alongside about 150 others, the taskforce broke into people’s shops and homes.

“Arresting and carting away with valuables, including money, food and drinks.”

They reportedly branched at Panti before taking away the arrested people to Oshodi where they were detained.

Apart from the property looting, the team allegedly destroyed other properties while making the arrests.

It will be recalled that, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos state, CP Hakeem Odumosu had on Monday June 28 charged Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders to embark on massive raids of criminal hideouts in Lagos.
