We are issuing fresh ultimatum to Fulanis in all SouthWest states -Sunday Igboho

By Dayo Badmus

Prominent activist and liberty campaigner, Mr. Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has disclosed his intentions of visiting and issuing quit notice to Fulani herders in all the South-Western States in the country.

Igboho was recorded saying this while speaking on a radio show at Rave FM (91.7), Oshogbo; “Talk show, frank Talk.”

He warned Fulani herdsmen to keep off Southwest zone saying enough is enough on the killing of Yoruba people and thereby declared the Southwest zone as a no-go area for them to perpetrate evil any longer.

In his words: “I will soon visit Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Lagos and Ondo and Kwara. Anywhere the herders are in Yoruba land will be visited to give quit notice. We shall no longer live like a slave on our land.

Many of our people who are abroad can’t come home because their security is not guaranteed.”

He added that “I am not scared of anybody. I am fighting for the peace of my zone and enough is enough on the killing of Yoruba people by Fulani herdsmen on our territories.”

Mr. Adeyemo revealed that his relationship with the OPC, the hunter’s association and the newly instituted security Outfit; Amotekun is cordial. He thereby enjoined individual states government to supply the moral and financial needs of the Amotekun corps indicating that a well-motivated officer is effective in fighting crime.

Speaking on his alleged arrest proposed by the Federal Government, Sunday said: “They dare not try it because I am only tackling those who are fighting, killing, raping and kidnapping my people. If the government is not ready to do the rightful thing, we will help them to do such.”

He indicted the Seriki of being accomplice to the atrocities caused by Fulani herdsmen in the area. He said that: “On many occasions, the Seriki of Igangan conspired with the kidnappers to collect ransom from my people. Those herdsmen also raped my people who can’t pay the ransom and even killed whosoever challenged their inhuman acts.”

Appreciating traditional rulers in Yoruba Land for their constant cooperation in combating crime, Sunday Igboho urged all children of Yoruba land to be united at tackling insecurity in the zone as security is everybody’s business.
