Super Eagles Remain 26th in FIFA Rankings, Drop to Fourth in Africa
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have maintained their 26th position in the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings but have slipped to fourth place among African teams.
The three-time African champions are now ranked behind Morocco, Senegal and Egypt on the continent, while Algeria completes Africa’s top five.
Spain moved to the top of the global rankings after winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, replacing Argentina, who dropped to second following their defeat in the final. France, England and Brazil complete the world’s top five teams.
The next FIFA Men’s World Rankings are expected to be released in October 2026.
