Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has announced the confirmation by the United Arab Emirates on its issuance of visa to Nigerians from Thursday.

The Minister had earlier announced the agreement of the UAE to issue visa to Nigerians on the 30th of September.

On Wednesday, the Minister tweeted a confirmation that the UAE would issue visas to Nigerians.

Sirika said, “UAE confirmed that they will begin issuance of visas from 8th of October, 2020.

“Travellers to have a return ticket, hotel booking, negative PCR result and a health insurance (similar to Schengen requirement).

“Health insurance can be paid through travel agents/airline.”

The agreement to issue visas to Nigerians, made the Federal Government lift the ban placed on Emirates Airlines from operating in Nigeria. The ban was placed on the Airlines due to the non-issuance of entry visa by the UAE government to Nigerians.
