 “We’re grateful” – South-South People appreciate Sanwo-Olu over palliatives

The South-South United People’s Forum in Lagos State under the leadership of Otunba Emiyede and its apex leader, Dr. Mordi in collaboration with the Lagos State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Sam Egube, has sent appreciation to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for approving COVID-19 palliative package to all the South-South members across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the state.

While commending the governor for his prompt actions towards curtailing the deadly conavirus in the state and his effort to cushion the hunger effect of the stay-at-home order on the residents, the Forum described the governor’s gesture as a historical one and a morale booster to the South-South people living in Lagos.

Meanwhile, one of the leaders of the Forum, Engr. Emiyede also commended the commissioner for facilitating the stimulus package, saying he (the commissioner) has been supporting the group and representing them well.

Also speaking, Dr. Mordi described the commissioner as a worthy ambassador of the region who has never relented in spearheading the affairs of his people.

“We are grateful to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for supporting us, the south-south people at this period of want. In fact, the palliative packages are well received and appreciated.

“We also commend our own person, the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Sam Egube, for representing us well in government. We all see your efforts and commend you as we promise to continue supporting you,” he said.
