 Osun 2022: INEC Declares Ademola Adeleke Winner

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of PDP as the winner of Osun 2022 governorship election.

The INEC Returning Officer for Osun 2022, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe of the University of Lagos declared Adeleke winner on Sunday at the Commission’s Headquarters in Osogbo.

Adeleke secured 403,371 votes to defeat incumbent Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola who polled 375,027 votes.

The PDP won in 17 local government areas while APC emerged victorious in 13 local government areas.

Final Results as declared by INEC:

ADP – 10,104
APC – 375,027
APM – 1,222
APP – 601
BP – 374
LP – 2,729
NNPP – 393
NRM – 777
PDP – 403,371
PRP – 1,007
SDP – 515
YPP – 1,303
ZLP – 364

The difference between 1st (PDP) and 2nd (APC) is – 28,344.
