 YOMAFA AWARD 2021: My Award is a challenge to do more – Folashade Gold

After winning award in entertainment industry in 2021, Arinoye Folashade popular known as Folashade Gold, has said the award is a motivation and challenge for her to do more in the movie industry.

Folashade Gold, a fast rising Yoruba movie actress, beat other six contestants to win the 2021 YOMAFA Best Promising Act 2020/2021 (Osere To Lamilaaka) Award.

She got 223 votes to beat the first runner up, Bukola Adeoyo, who garnered 132 votes in the annual competition recently organised by YOMAFA.

Folashade Gold has featured in many Yoruba movies and produced some by herself.

She said: “The Award is an encouragement and motivation for me. It also serves as a challenge for me to work harder, to do more in the industry.

“I was highly happy when I was announced the winner out of seven of us who entered into the competition. People voted for me more than any other contestant to emerge the winner.

“I seriously need to say a big Thank You to the people who voted for me, and for the belief you have in me. I dedicate this award to you and I say thank you for your encouragement.”

On her work, Folashade Gold said: “Idamu Iya is produced by me, but I featured in many productions for people. Oludegun, produced by Ademola Adelakun is on Youtube, I acted as Saheed Osupa’s servant in the movie. And so many others.”
