2027: Atiku may be facing his last chance, says Bwala

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, has suggested that the 2027 presidential election could represent former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s final opportunity to contest for the presidency.

Bwala made the remark while discussing the political calculations ahead of the 2027 general election.

He said Atiku’s age and long history in Nigerian politics were factors that could make the 2027 election particularly significant for the former vice president.

The presidential aide also spoke about the growing political activities and realignments ahead of the election, with opposition figures seeking to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Atiku, who has contested the presidency several times, is among the prominent opposition politicians preparing for the 2027 election.

The former vice president has yet to officially declare his intention to contest the election.
