Chelsea beat Manchester City to win Champions League

By Joseph Ayinde
Chelsea beat Manchester City 1:0 to clinch the UEFA Champions League title.
Much had been said in the build-up to the match about whether Guardiola would be able to end his losing streak against Tuchel men, but eventually, he was unable to do that and Tuchel’s blues beat Guardiola for the third time this season.
Manchester City dominated the match in terms of possession but failed to create any real chances, Chelsea however looked to defend properly and hit Manchester City on the counter. This paid off brilliantly as Havertz scored what turned out to be the winner few minutes before halftime.
Guardiola tried to be responsive by later bringing on Gabriel Jesus and club legend Aguero to break Chelsea’s defence, but Chelsea stood firm and held on to clinch their second champions league title.
