Buhari orders Ministers with Political ambition to resign immediately

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered all ministers with political ambition in 2023 general elections to resign from their present appointment immediately .

The order was handed down today, Wednesday, 11 May, 2022 during the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.

Ministers who have expressed interest in contesting elections are: Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba, Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, Labour Minister, Chris Ngige; Science and Technology, Ogbonaya Onu.

The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, who addressed journalists reported Buhari as giving the order.
