Ondo: Akeredolu reopens Churches’, Mosques

Ondo State Government has lifted the ban on religious gatherings across the state but insisted on strict adherence to guidelines of the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who made this known at the weekly briefing on COVID-19, said churches will only operate on Sundays while mosques will also be opened only on Fridays.
Akeredolu said the services will be guided and monitored regularly.
He, however, warned that any religion centre where there is breach of safety protocols would be closed down till after the end of Coronavirus pandemic.
The Governor also confirmed that the state has recorded its second death from Coronavirus pandemic.
So far, 432 persons have been tested for Covid-19 in the state with 24 confirmed cases and two deaths.
