Police Dismisses Officer Who Tortured Fashion Designer To Death

Osun State Police Command has dismissed an Inspector, Ago Egharevbe who allegedly brutalised a 20year old fashion designer, Taiwo Ayomide to death over N50 bribe.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola who disclosed this in a statement issued said that the suspect has been identified and arrested.
According to her,giventhis was after he was given room orderly trial by the State Police Commissioner who recommended his dismissal to the Inspector General of Police.
It would be recalled that Egbarevbe brutalised the victim with the butt of his gun and was unconcious till he eventually gave up the ghost.
Opalola said he has been tried in orderly room and the commissioner of Police for Osun state, CP Undie Adie had recommended his dismissal to the IGP.
She further explained that the suspect would be charged to court on Monday.
Ayomide was said to be returning from his home town in Iragbiji after Eid-El-Kabir celebration when the incident occurred.
He, (Ayomide) was allegedly brutalised with the butt of the gun by a Police officer at road check point over N50 bribe died in the early hours of Sunday.
Credible source from the victim’s relation told newsmen that the victim suffered brutality in the hands of one of Police officers mounting road block at Ilahun village,
along Ibokun road at exactly 3.30pm while returning from his home town of Iragbiji after Eid-El-Kabir celebration on Wednesday.
One of the deceased relatives , who simply identified himself as Segun said that Ayomide
and one of his brothers identified as Oladimeji Wasiu were riding on a motorcycle
from their home town of Iragbiji after Eid-el-Kabir celebration when the incident happened.
