 Accolades as Oduyemi retires from LASUSTECH

The Bursary Department of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), last week, organised a retirement send forth reception to celebrate one of its staff members, Mr. Oludayo Oduyemi, as he retired from the services of the institution after 26 years of meritorious service.

The event was held on Wednesday, 21st September 2022 at the University Cooperative Events Centre, Ikorodu.

Oduyemi joined the service of the Institution as a Principal Accountant in 1996 and rose through the ranks to the position of a Chief Accountant in 2007.

Before his retirement, he served on various committees and also as Acting Bursar several times.

The Ag. Bursar, Mr. Jerry Maumo Jinadu, appreciated the retiree for his selfless service, diligence and professionalism portrayed while in the service of the Institution.

While appreciating the entire Bursary staff for the cooperation towards hosting the ceremony, he said Oduyemi has laid good examples for others to follow.

The Ag. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Oluremi Olaleye, who was represented by the Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Dr. Kolawole Godonu, congratulated the retiree on his landmark success in his career, stating that the celebration was well deserved.

Oduyemi was presented an Award of Excellence as well gifts by the Bursary Department, other Departments, Ventures and well-wishers.

Distinguished personalities at the occasion were Mr. Ayodeji B. Iginla, who was the Chairman of the occasion; Dr, A. A. Lawal, former Rectors of the Institution; Princess Adetope A. Kosoko and Mrs. Aderonke O. Ige, former Registrars of the Institution, Venerables from St. Paul Anglican Church, Ishaga; members of the Bursary department and other staff members; Mr. Oduyemi’s family and friends.
