Again, Seyi Makinde tests negative for COVID-19
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has tested negative for the COVID-19 virus for the second time and may be set free to return to his office.
Through his official twitter handle, the governor, on Monday, announced the resurt of his second test which came out negative.
He said: “I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19.
I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force.”
Makinde tested positive to the coronavirus on Monday last week and has since been in self-isolation.
The governor had gone to his Facebook page to announce his status Monday thus: “I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate.”
