 Ago-Okota DPO condemns assault on police officers

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ago-Okota Police Division, CSP Ladi Tarpaya, has strongly condemned attacks on police officers in the community by traffic offenders.

Presenting a report of her activities securities to the members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) recently, she explained that two of her men were hit by traffic offenders stopped for taking one way recently.

She passionately appealed for more compliance with traffic rules by road users in the community.

She, however, remarked that the police are winning the tide against insecurity in the community, noting that cultism and burglary have been reduced.

She informed that 17 cultists who were recently taken out of the community have served as deterrent to others who might still be in the community, emphasising that the police division is not relenting in its fight against insecurity.

She acknowledged the efforts of the members of the PCRC and Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in the community for their support against insecurity in the community, promising to sustain the relationship with them.

The PCRC Chairman, Alhaji Musibau Alebiosu, commended the DPO for her diligence and remarkable performance in the community and payed that God shall give her the means to perform outstandingly.

He promised that the committee will speedily look into the faulty patrol van of the division.

The DPO presented certificates to members of the division who participated in the traffic training organised by the state.
