Amuwo Stakeholders call for removal of Lagos Female Representative over maligning statement

The Amuwo Odofin Stakeholders Consultation Forum (AOSCF), has called for the removal of Mrs. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, female lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly over utterances targeted at maligning and gross misrepresentation.

This is after a video that went viral, showed Mrs Alli-Macualey on Tuesday October 28, stating that “Nigerian youths are high on hard drugs” while she was on the floor of the House reacting to vandalisation that erupted as a result of the ENDSARS protest in Lagos state.

The group in a press statement described her statement as unguided and targeted at maligning the efforts of peaceful youths during the #EndSARS protests.

“It is unfortuante that our representative at the Lagos State House of Assembly did not have a good grasp of the positive contributions of Amuwo Odofin youths during the crisis that ravaged other parts of Lagos state.” Amb Kingsley Nwanze, the convener of the group said.

The group also that Alli-Macaulay not only misrepresented her constituent but also does not have a functional constituency office within the constituency as required by the law.

She was also reported to have allegedly used the Covid-19 palliative items as gifts she distributed during her birthday party.
