 Army releases names of most wanted terrorists

The Nigerian Army has released a list naming 86 most wanted people for terrorism.

This latest list of wanted people alledged to be members of the Boko Haram Sect was released on Wednesday.

Prominent on the list is the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, who has been declared dead on a few occasions in the past.

Others are Abu Musa Al Barnawi, Modu Sulum, Malkam Umar, Bello Husba, Yan Kolo, Ibrahim Abu Maryam, Baka Kwasari, Bana Gonna, Mohammed Abu Maryam, Abu Imma, and Abu Dardda.

The latest list, which is the fourth to be released by the military, was launched by Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff, alongside Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno State, at the Nigerian Army Super Camp, Chabbal in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.

The launching of Civilian JTF, Hunters, and Vigilantes into the operations of the Nigerian Army Super Camp also took place.

These two events, according to Buratai, were part of the activities designed to finally put an end to activities of the Boko Haram Sect in the North-East region.

He added that no Child CJTF will participate in the operation and called for the support of the public in apprehending the remnant of the insurgents.

Governor Babangana Zulum also renewed his call on Boko Haram insurgents who are hiding in Sambisa forest and bushes in the fringes of Lake Chad to lay down their arms and surrender.
