 Breaking: FG orders reopening of land borders

The President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, has authorized the immediate reopening of four land borders.

This was made known by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, after the week’s virtual meeting.

The minister said the borders opened for now include Seme Border in Lagos State, Ilela Border in Sokoto State, Maigatari Border in Jigawa State, and Mfun Border in Cross River State.

According to Ahmed, restriction on the importation of some commodities, like rice and other products, would continue to be enforced while other land borders would be reopened before December 31, 2020
