The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi has officially married his new wife, Olori Mariam Anako.

The marriage took place at the Enuwa’s Palace in Ile-Ife, on Tuesday, 6 September, 2022.

Ooni’s new bride Mariam Anako, is a top management executive (Administrative Manager) of Nestoil Limited, Nigeria’s largest indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Company in the oil and gas sector.

The traditional wedding took place at the palace.

The bride in company of her family and friends dressed in the popular HOH lace attire all looking glamorous stormed the palace in grand style for the wedding ceremony.

The bride has been given the necessary traditional rites including the popular pouring of camwood (Osun) reddish substance on her legs which will officially usher her into the palace as a bride.

Mariam Anako is from a very influential family in Kogi State.  Her elder sister, Medinat Anako is a lawyer, businesswoman and also Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs and Kogi State Diaspora Focal Point Officer (DFPO) to Governor Yahaya Bello.

While another of her elder sisters, Mrs Raliat Abdulrahman nee Anako is a Special Adviser to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

The union is coming after Ooni’s former wife, Olori Naomi Shilekunola publicly called their union off on social media.
