Pastor, 48, rapes, impregnates 12-yr-old church member’s daughter

A 48-year-old Pastor has been arrested for raping and impregnating the 12 years old daughter of a member of his church.
The victim was a Junior Secondary School 2 student.
Pastor Micheal Abiodun of The Light House Gospel Church, Oluwo, Owode Egba, was arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command after the matter was reported at the Owode Egba Divisional Police Headquarters.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the victim’s mother joined the church as a result of a spiritual problem that led to the death of two of her daughters.
In order to prevent the victim from the same calamity, she ran to the church for deliverance.
The Pastor, a father-of-three, asked the victim’s mother to send her to him for special prayers.
On getting to the church, Pastor Abiodun took her into a room within the church and raped her which later resulted in the pregnancy.
He equally threatened the victim with dire consequences if she reported what transpired between them to her mother.
Thus, the mother did not know her daughter was pregnant until the seventh month.
When the matter was reported to the police, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Owode Egba Division, CSP Olasunkanmi Popoola, detailed his detectives to the scene where the randy Pastor was promptly arrested.
On interrogation, he confessed to the crime but blamed it on the devil. He further confessed to being the one that deflowered the victim, a JSS 2 student.
The victim was recently delivered of a baby.
