 CCT founder, Adebayo bags chieftaincy title, plans to raise N72m for school construction, renovation

A non-governmental organization (NGO), Crown Charity Trust (CCT) has disclosed the plan to spend a total of N72 million to construct, renovate and equip three public schools in Iwo LGA, Ola-Oluwa LGA, and Ayedire LGA in Osun State.

In a statement signed by CCT Secretary General, Babatunde Azeez, the founder and CEO of the organisation, Sefiu Adebayo Mufutau (Crown), said the project “Operation Help A Nigerian Pupil with a Better Learning Environment” is phase one of the many projects lined up for execution by the NGO, saying it would be extended to other parts of the country.

Adebayo, a Nigerian-born UK-based entrepreneur, who has been selected to be conferred with a chieftaincy title of Bobakeye of Egberun land, Ile-Ife Osun State by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedokun Okero Ademiluyi (Akinmoyero 1), the Okero of Egberun land, said the NGO will launch a fundraising for the execution of the project.

Crown Charity Trust is an NGO duly registered with CAC in Nigeria and this platform has been reaching out to the less privileged Nigerians in cash and kind. Currently, we have two undergraduates in the university who are beneficiaries of our ‘CCT Students Scholarship’. The organisation has produced a graduate who is currently working in the labour market.

The NGO has been supporting education, entrepreneurship, aging people, and indigent in Nigeria for almost a decade. We have been paying for WAEC examinations for number of students who required help under the group Iwo Descendants Coalition (IDC). The largesse is not limited to Iwo indigenous youths, it is extended to others across the country.

Now we are planning to raise a sum of N72 million to construct and renovate and provide chairs, tables & some learning materials to some schools in Osun State this year while we are also giving a full 5-year scholarship to another beneficiary who is studying Nursing in the university.

The fundraising and the scholarship will be announced on the coronation day coming up on 26th August 2023 at Cristal Heritage Hall, Paraking Ile-Ife, Osun State. We will also use the coronation event to raise funds for the project “Operation Help A Nigerian Pupil with a Better Learning Environment”.

Having noticed his effort towards supporting the needy in Nigeria through his NGO, the monarch, HRM, Oba Adedokun Evans Okero Ademiluyi (Akinmoyero 1) Okero of Egberun land, has confirmed the plan to confer chieftaincy titles of Bobakeye and Yeye Bobakeye of Egberun land, Ile-Ife on Sefiu Adebayo Mufutau and his wife, Mrs. Adetoun Mufutau.

The coronation is scheduled to hold on 26th August 2023 at Cristal Heritage Hall, Paraking Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Dignitaries expected at the event include His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi (Ilufemiloye 1), Oluwo of Iwo land, m; Senator (Dr.) Akogun Lere Oyewumi (SFRN), Hon. Mudasiru Lukmon Kayode, and a host of others.
