President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that 147 structures are expected to be affected by the construction of a service lane along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

The President made the disclosure while providing an update on the ongoing development of the coastal highway and its associated infrastructure.

The affected structures are expected to fall within the alignment required for the service lane, which is being developed to improve access and connectivity along the major highway corridor.

The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is one of the Federal Government’s major infrastructure projects, stretching across several states along Nigeria’s coastline.

The project is expected to improve transportation links, facilitate economic activities and strengthen connectivity between communities and major commercial centres along the route.

Authorities are expected to engage with affected property owners and other stakeholders as work progresses on the service lane and other components of the project.
