The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers allegedly linked to a series of robbery operations involving about N50 million in the state.

The suspects were arrested during investigations into robbery incidents recorded in different parts of Lagos, according to the Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai.

Fatai disclosed this while briefing journalists on the command’s recent operations and arrests in the state.

The police said the suspects were allegedly involved in robbery activities targeting victims in different locations.

The command said investigations were ongoing to establish the suspects’ roles in the alleged offences and determine whether other members of the group were involved.

The arrests formed part of the police operations targeting suspected armed robbery and other criminal activities across Lagos.

The command also reported the recovery of firearms and other items during its operations.

Police said the suspects would be subjected to further investigation before being charged to court if sufficient evidence is established against them.

The command urged residents to provide useful information to security agencies to assist investigations into criminal activities.

The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court.
