 Kosoko emerges Oloja of Lagos

Prince Tiamiyu Abiola Olojo Kosoko has emerged the New Oloja of Lagos.

The Lagos Prince is the monarch-elect after beating stiff competitions from other suitors.

Prince Kosoko is a Lagos Prince from the Olojo family.

He was ratified by the kingmakers at the weekend after he defeated three other aspirants to the throne.

His competitors were: Prince Issa Adeyemi Aregbeshola, Prince Ismail Adedayo Kosoko, and Prince Dotun Olaluwoye.

The last Oloja of Lagos, Chief Adebola Ige, joined his ancestors on December 23, 2017.

The tussle for the coveted seat has caused strife within the family, putting members in disarray.

But a reconciliation committee headed by renowned actor, Prince Jide Kosoko, waded into the crisis, leading to the emergence of  Prince Kosoko.

At a General meeting held at the palace in Ereko, Lagos, the head of the royal family, Alhaja Mutiat Abimbola Ashabi Alli-Balogun, who presented the new monarch, said his nomination followed due process and was ratified by the kingmakers.
